IMMEDIACY & THE IN-BETWEEN

We have been taught that delays are things that hinder our progress yet with immense speed under our wings we must use it wisely. What if we can reframe the pause and learn to revel in long form and long thought? What if the ‘overdue’ is actually right on time? That the slow-to-respond individual is actually a divine invitation to start your own slow rebellion?

Quick reactions come from primal instincts and our need for survival, and other than the obvious physical aspects like dodging a swinging axe from time to time, what threatens our survival more than a lack of love? Don’t worry, its rhetorical.

Love, a core function and need from birth that plants within us an insatiable desire, a need for approval, or in more extreme cases, the need to compete to be unequivocally seen and witnessed. Over time it drip feeds fear into our psyche, and underneath the surface lies this subtle but ever-present sense that we might miss out on something should be not be ‘at the ready’, or ‘showing up’. We have all said yes (whether verbally or physically) without thought of consequence and with a knee-jerk reaction at some point in our lives, and I invite you to ruminate on the root of that - the origin of your jerks, the desire that lay buried underneath.

Deriving from the latin word ”Immediatus” meaning ‘without anything in between’, we can see that there is both a lack of time, space and mediation when reacting with immediacy - a natural pressure that arises, whether pleasurable or otherwise.

After a recent playback on a recording of a past life regression I had five years ago, I began to ruminate further on immediacy and its correlation to the archetype of Gemini, my ascendent. For those more adept in Astrology I have Jupiter in Gemini (12th house) conjunct my Gemini Ascendent by one degree in my natal chart. And for those new to astrology, a conjunction is when a planet sits within an 8 degree orb of another angle, asteroid, luminary or planet. When a conjunction occurs the coding of the pair merges, both infusing one another with meaning, one tinting the other and making a ‘new little recipe’ if you will. The 12th house correlates to that which is hidden, and therefore often contains a lot of past life ‘material’ and for those of you who do not subscribe to the notion of past lives - deeply, deeply unconscious material resides here. It got me thinking deeply about the shadow aspects of Gemini and with Uranus moving back into Gemini early next year ( 2026 ) how the unseen shadow aspects of Gemini may affect the collective as witnessed in my regression.

Small Steps Create Big Shifts

It All Begins Here

Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day. It grows when we choose to try, even when we’re unsure of the outcome. Every time you take action despite self-doubt, you reinforce the belief that you’re capable. Confidence isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you can figure it out along the way.

The key to making things happen isn’t waiting for the perfect moment; it’s starting with what you have, where you are. Big goals can feel overwhelming when viewed all at once, but momentum builds through small, consistent action. Whether you’re working toward a personal milestone or a professional dream, progress comes from showing up — not perfectly, but persistently. Action creates clarity, and over time, those steps forward add up to something real.

You don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is. What matters most is that you keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.
